About Memrize
Memrize is a study app for Android. You give it your material, a photo of your notes, a PDF, lecture slides, a recording or a YouTube link, and it writes flashcards and quizzes from it. Then it schedules every review with spaced repetition, so you practice each card just before you would forget it. A streak, daily quests and a weekly league keep you coming back.
Memrize is not Memrise, the language-learning app. The names are one letter apart; the products are unrelated.
Who we are
Memrize is a small Swedish company. Email aimemrize@gmail.com; the company details are in the terms and privacy policy.
Daniel, founder
Daniel founded Memrize and designed its study system: how flashcards are written from your notes, how questions get harder as you learn, and how every review is timed with spaced repetition. The guides on this site explain the methods that system is built on.
How we write the guides
- Research first. Claims about learning come from published studies, cited at the end of each guide with a link to the paper.
- The app, as it is. When a guide describes Memrize, it describes what the app does today, from its own documentation. No invented numbers, ratings or testimonials.
- Checked before it goes up. Every guide is checked against its sources and against the app before it is published.
- Dated and kept current. Each guide shows when it was published and when it last changed in substance.
- Corrections. If something is wrong, email aimemrize@gmail.com and we will fix it and note the change.
